Salesforce and Google Integrate Gemini into Agentforce

Salesforce and Google have announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to make it easier for businesses to create and deploy AI-powered agents. As AI technologies rapidly evolve, it is becoming increasingly important for businesses to keep pace with these innovations. This new collaboration allows companies to develop AI solutions that best fit their needs without being tied to a single model provider.

The Power of Google Cloud Meets Agentforce

Google Cloud stands out as a platform driving enterprise innovation, enabling millions of developers to leverage the latest Gemini models and AI-optimized infrastructure. With this expanded partnership, Salesforce customers will be able to build Agentforce agents using Gemini and run Salesforce on Google Cloud.

Additionally, through this integration, Google BigQuery and Salesforce data can be used bidirectionally with zero-copy technology. This enables businesses to consolidate data management, AI capabilities, and security solutions within a unified ecosystem to create autonomous agents.

New Capabilities of Agentforce

Following this integration, Agentforce will leverage Google’s Gemini models to gain the following new capabilities:

  • Agents will be able to work with images, audio, and video.

  • Gemini’s multimodal capabilities and two-million-token context windows will allow agents to perform more complex tasks.

  • Agents will utilize real-time insights and responses from Vertex AI and Google Search, enabling smarter and faster decision-making.

The integration between Salesforce Service Cloud and Google Customer Engagement Suite will also be enhanced, providing:

  • Advanced AI-powered contact center capabilities such as real-time voice translation, seamless agent handoffs, personalized agent recommendations, and AI-driven conversational insights across all channels.

Salesforce’s Agentforce, Data Cloud, and Customer 360 Applications will run on Google Cloud infrastructure, offering businesses the following benefits:

  • Access to new regions via Google Cloud Marketplace.

  • Simplified procurement and deployment processes.

Together, we are creating the best environment for businesses to scale their digital workforce."

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian added:

Our customers have asked for a more seamless experience between Salesforce and Google Cloud, and this expanded partnership will help accelerate their AI transformation by enabling them to leverage the latest AI models, data analytics, and more."

This strategic alliance will empower businesses to enhance customer experiences, scale AI-driven solutions, and accelerate digital transformation. With the powerful technologies provided by Salesforce and Google Cloud, companies will now be able to develop smarter and more efficient autonomous agents, gaining a competitive advantage.
